The participant that has increased the most is the tournament's youngest participant, Richard Rapport from Hungary.He added 20 points to his elo where most of them came from the recently completed German Bundesliga.On the page with this year's participants you will find the participants with updated ratings .It can be found here.

Fide ratings april 2013

Fide published the ratings for April yesterday.Richard Rapport and Emanuel Berg has increased there ratings while Short and Van Wely's ratings are unchanged. The other participants has lost some elo points.

Candidate´s Tournament in London

On Friday this week, the long awaited Candidate´s tournament in London starts. The winner earns the right to challenge world champion Vishy Anand later this year. Not less than four of the eight super-GM´s have participated in the Sigeman Tournament; Magnus Carlsen, Boris Gelfand, Vassilij Ivanchuk and Teimour Radjabov.

New elolist march 1

FIDE has released the new elolist march 1.Nigel Short rose 7 points after the strong effort in Gibraltar and has 2697 now.Ivan Sokolov and Nils Grandelius has changes of less than 1 point after Reykjavik Open so their elo's are unchanged. Remaining players have not played any elo-games during the month that have elapsed since the last list.
